Operations Manager
Job Summary
This role utilizes route analysis software to adjust territory plans and create effective daily and weekly tactical route plans for assigned branch locations. The incumbent performs data analysis of plans, resource availability, and territory, maintains geographic codes and customer information, and reports metrics daily to the Service Planning Supervisor and Branch Managers/Technicians.
Key Performance Indicators- Work orders scheduled per day/month
- 30‑ and 60‑day completion rate
- Planned miles between work orders
- Creates route plans using work order data and route analysis software
- Communicates routes within the assigned territory to service personnel
- Summarizes and reviews plans daily with the Service Planning Supervisor
- Creates summary reports daily and provides them to the supervisor
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Advanced knowledge of routing and scheduling software systems
- In‑depth knowledge of the branch service department, resources, territory structure, advanced planning of recurring services, and schedule availability for unplanned demand
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking
- Analytical skills and keen attention to detail
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, maintenance instructions, procedural manuals, and government regulations
- Ability to manage multiple, repetitive tasks
- Basic understanding of texting software or other related software needed to accomplish objectives
- Effective interpersonal skills with co‑workers and the public
- Basic knowledge of the company’s operating systems
- Outstanding communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels, including internal and external stakeholders
- Strong drive, work ethic, accountability, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining sound judgment and detail orientation
- Highest standards of integrity and the ability to build enduring, trusting relationships across all key stakeholders
High school diploma or GED equivalent, with 1–2 years of related experience as a dispatcher or customer‑service agent.
Physical DemandsMove up to 10 pounds occasionally; sit for long periods while using office equipment such as computers and phones; perform repetitive finger and wrist motions while typing; read and analyze data; use oral communication at normal speaking levels.
