About the Team
The mission of Databricks Legal is to apply legal resources and expertise to help Databricks achieve its growth and strategic objectives, while thoughtfully protecting Databricks with a reasonable balance of risk versus opportunity.
Responsibilities- Serve as the dedicated resource to help plan, administer, and track upcoming projects and initiatives, gathering and organizing information to inform leadership decisions on cross‑functional projects.
- Coordinate complex post‑M&A integration tasks and implementation of post-signature strategic partnerships and alliances.
- Provide a dedicated point of contact to enable tighter and more efficient interlock with strategic alliances, partnerships, product legal, commercialization, and finance.
- Lead the end‑to‑end implementation of AI tools to automate routine tasks and enhance productivity.
- Demonstrate excellent project management and the ability to coordinate efforts across multiple stakeholders, teams, and regions.
- Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of quality and meeting tight deadlines.
- Identify and recommend opportunities to change and improve ways of working, continually raising standards within the team and streamlining processes and quality across regions.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- Three or more years of experience working as a paralegal, program manager, contracts specialist, or contracts administrator.
- Experience with leveraging AI or machine learning in a legal setting.
- Experience with pre‑sales, sales operations, and/or deal desk; experience within a commercial team is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of the tools used by in‑house commercial legal teams to facilitate the contracting process for revenue, including tools for contract generation and routing (e.g., SFDC, CPQ, CLM) and signatures (e.g., Docu Sign).
- Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams across diverse cultures.
- Strategic thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
- Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with proposal management software.
Zone 2 Pay Range: $92,200 — $126,700 USD
Zone 3 Pay Range: $87,000 — $119,700 USD
