Senior Performance Improvement Specialist
The Senior Performance Improvement (PI) Specialist is a full‑time exempt position that reports to the Performance Improvement Manager and is responsible for implementing performance improvement programs, including CAP, Self‑Assessment, Benchmarking, Operating Experience, Performance Gap Analysis, Trending, Root Cause Analysis, and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, maintenance, and implementation of Performance Improvement standard operating documents (SODs).
- Analyze and interpret corrective action data and performance metrics, providing detailed reports and strategic recommendations.
- Conduct advanced analysis of performance data to identify systemic issues and trends.
- Lead CAP investigations and condition screenings.
- Serve as a mentor and subject matter expert for cross‑functional teams.
- Lead the development and refinement of performance indicators.
- Oversee the coordination and preparation of materials for Performance Improvement meetings.
- Provide executive‑level weekly and monthly status reports.
- Lead and oversee teams in conducting comprehensive cause analysis tasks.
- Direct initiatives to enhance Performance Improvement software and related tools.
- Other duties as assigned by the Performance Improvement Manager.
Key
Qualifications and Skills:
- BS or BA in mathematics, science, engineering, or business administration.
- 10+ years of experience in a nuclear performance improvement or corrective action program.
- Experience with Root Cause analysis.
- Experience working with government organizations such as DOE or NRC.
- Strong customer service, training skills, and a desire to achieve results.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and PowerBI.
- Experience with Confluence, JIRA, INPO IRIS, and DEVONWAY.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Skilled in setting priorities and analytical problem‑solving.
- High degree of trust, integrity, and teamwork orientation.
- Position level determined by qualifications.
Job Functions:
- Motor Abilities:
Sitting and/or standing for extended periods, bending/stooping, grasping/gripping, fine motor control. - Physical exertion:
Minimal, with ability to lift up to 25 pounds. - Special senses:
Visual and audio focused work. - Work conditions:
Stairs, typing/keyboard, standard or sitting environment >8 hours/day.
Job Details:
Salary Range: $138,685 – $208,027 (Washington State). Salary typically offered in the lower to middle portion of the range.
