Job OverviewThe Senior Product Manager (PM) is a product leader and domain owner who sets direction across complex, cross‑platform product areas. The PM owns strategy, the learning agenda, and business results for a significant product domain. They originate the plan, defend it with evidence, and update it when data indicates a shift. The PM influences the team through credibility, sets high standards for problem framing, and mentors PMs to operate at a higher level.
Day‑to‑DayActivities
These include synthesizing competitive signals, customer data, and market timing into directional strategy bets; communicating roadmap direction and tradeoffs at Director level; acting as a co‑owner of customer research; defining priority problems and building executive cases for commitments; mentoring PMs; and treating every quarter as a learning cycle.
Job Responsibilities- Own domain outcomes, ensuring impact extends beyond launch to adoption and business impact.
- Apply AI fluency and tools to strategy work, sharing approaches to raise collective capability.
- Anticipate industry direction and technology shifts before they become obvious priorities.
- Actively own customer research, interpret findings independently, and present directional views to leadership.
- Uphold a customer‑first mindset and create conditions where engineering and design are oriented around customer outcomes.
- Apply strategic thinking to identify next problems, synthesize signals, and produce clear bets.
- Own the domain roadmap, connect strategy to business outcomes, defend direction with evidence, and update it as data evolves.
- Manage a complex backlog spanning 5–8 Agile teams, ensuring alignment across stakeholders.
- Translate strategy into detailed features, capabilities, and acceptance criteria consumable by engineering.
- Build trusted cross‑functional relationships, earning influence through credibility, and manage priorities with data.
- Secure and maintain product funding, owning the investment narrative end to end.
- Work with architecture and engineering to factor technical debt and platform health into strategy.
- Identify execution, operational, and organizational issues, drive improvement plans, and own resolution.
- Communicate strategy, roadmap, and vision clearly at Director and VP levels, translating tradeoffs into executive‑actionable narratives.
- Conduct ad‑hoc analysis, present findings with supported positions, and make informed trade‑off decisions.
- Use data to support ROI, NPV, and cost‑benefit analyses for major investment decisions.
- Own and maintain a domain KPI framework, defining metrics, tracking movement, and acting on results.
- Take full ownership of outcomes from problem identification through post‑launch impact with minimal executive escalation.
- Drive continuous improvement of execution, operational, and organizational effectiveness across the domain.
- Build PM capability by raising standards for framing, outcome ownership, and mentoring.
- Apply AI tools to competitive research, scenario modeling, executive narratives, and elevate team AI fluency.
- Represent product best practices to the broader organization, elevating decision quality across the PM team.
- Bachelor’s Degree plus 7 years of related work experience, OR Advanced degree with 5 years of related experience. (Required)
- 7+ years of relevant Product Management experience in an agile software product development environment, with advanced understanding of customer experience. (Required)
