Sr Program Manager III, Sub Same Day (SSD)

The candidate will be working as a member of the Sub‑Same Day (SSD) delivery team as we work to provide faster than same day delivery across North America. We are looking for a Senior Program Manager with proven program management experience to own strategic, tactical, cross‑functional, technology projects and programs within our Sub Same Day Delivery offering.

These roles require scoping and creating project plans, developing processes, coordinating and driving execution, and communicating to senior management on status, risks and process/product changes. Cross‑team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are essential.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Analyzing and solving operational barriers with a focus on understanding root causes and driving forward opportunities
  • Coordinating closely with internal and external stakeholders worldwide to proactively identify, optimize, track and report performance
  • Developing and utilizing data inputs and KPIs to inform operational adjustments
  • Define and create processes that will scale to meet growing business demands
  • Partnering with Directors, Senior Managers, and other key operational and technical leaders across the organization
A day in the life

This role will play a critical role in the expansion of the sub‑same day program. It requires a high‑level of ownership over the end‑to‑end process, the ability to think outside of the box, willingness to disrupt the current processes to create a new process, the ability to design sustainable solutions and influence stakeholders. The role requires scoping large ambiguous projects, managing project timelines, and communicating to senior management on status, risks, and process/product changes.

Cross‑team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are essential.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end‑to‑end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree, or MBA in management, business administration, economics, engineering, marketing

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
