- Foster a welcoming and warm environment for the children in your care
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines
- Communicate and collaborate with other workers in the classroom effectively
- Communicate in a timely way with Early Childhood Coordinator
- Communicate with parents at drop off, pick up, and as needed.
- Help clean and reset the room after class time
- Prep lesson materials as needed- curriculum provided
- Prep crafts and games as needed- supplies provided or reimbursed
Education & Experience Requirements :
- Literacy- able to read aloud to children
- Be actively in God's word, the Bible
- Profess a faith In Jesus Christ as your Savior
- Time management/ following a schedule
- Clear communication with other workers and leadership
- Adapt to the needs of the classroom
- A track record of servant leadership, humility, and a teachable spirit
- Commitment to spread ownership of CBC's vision and core values to each area of ministry and involve appropriately
- Demonstrates the godly character as outlined in 1
Timothy 3 and Titus 1 - Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality
- Lift 30 lbs.
- If working with children 2 and younger - Mobility/ balance
- Able to walk steadily for 100 yards - Tolerance for loud noise levels
- Accountability
- Shall be directly accountable to the Early Childhood Coordinator
- Staff Relationships
- Collaborate with other team members
- Regular, non-exempt, part-time, 3-9 hours a week. Tuesdays 9a-12p and/or Thursdays 9a-12p. Wednesday 6-8:45p
- Working with children ranging from 0-10 years - dependent on applicants' ability, interest and program's needs
- Substitute options available
- Occasional extra hours available- days and times varied
- Prep-time pay available for Lead Teacher roles
- Hourly pay rate $19.50
