About the Role

We're looking for a detail‑oriented and creative Product Design Assistant to support a dynamic Private Brands design team. In this role, you'll provide hands‑on technical and creative support throughout the product development lifecycle—from initial concept through production readiness. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their design career who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment and has a strong foundation in technical design.

What

You'll Do Technical Design & Documentation
  • Create and revise 2D flat sketches and multi‑angle 3D visualizations using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Build, update, and maintain tech packs for assigned product categories, including measurements, construction details, BOMs, colorways, trims, and labeling
  • Incorporate design feedback into updated documentation accurately and on time
  • Ensure all tech packs meet internal quality standards and are production‑ready
Creative & Seasonal Support
  • Assist in developing and maintaining seasonal mood boards, color stories, and inspiration decks
  • Support trend research using both internal and external resources
  • Organize and update seasonal design assets, libraries, and reference files
Sample Review & Product Development
  • Review physical samples against 2D sketches, tech packs, and design intent
  • Ensure samples across collections and multiple categories align with brand color standards and intended color stories
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Design and Product Development teams to ensure alignment and on‑time delivery
  • Participate in design reviews, fittings, and team meetings as required
  • Meet creative deadlines to keep seasonal timelines on track
Administrative & Operational Support
  • Maintain organized digital archives and design libraries
  • Track revisions, approvals, and version control for design files
  • Assist with special projects and ad‑hoc design tasks as assigned
What You Bring
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (required) with strong working knowledge of Photoshop
  • Hands‑on experience building and maintaining tech packs
  • Ability to create 2D flat sketches and visualize products from multiple angles
  • Familiarity with the product development lifecycle, from concept through production
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy across multiple product categories
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
  • Solid organizational and communication skills
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to adapt to evolving brand needs
Nice to Have
  • Experience working on private label or private brands product lines
  • Background in pet, home, or lifestyle product categories
  • Familiarity with seasonal design calendars and cross‑functional product development workflows
Deliverables
  • Complete and accurate tech packs for assigned styles
  • Updated Illustrator files and seasonal design assets
  • Timely revisions based on design and sample reviews
  • Well‑organized design libraries and documentation
