Founded from an innovative program launched in 1969, the Foundation has helped prove that critically ill patients can be effectively treated outside of hospitals and that non-physicians can deliver advanced care under physician direction. The organization provides primary support for research and paramedic training that power the Medic One response system.

Its work has earned a global reputation for excellence and innovation in emergency medical services, with thousands of local survivors demonstrating the impact of its mission.
