GENERAL SUMMARY
Performs a variety of specific job functions:
Customer service, appointment setting, detailing interior and exterior of vehicles, cleaning of office spaces, washing and drying detail laundry. Adherence to the company’s mission and core values.
- Practices and enforces safety procedures.
- Detailing of vehicles and completing services within the given timeframe.
- Ensures personal electronic device does not impede work requirements and timeliness.
- Works productively with fellow coworkers.
- Cheerfully greets all members while performing assignments.
- Strives to improve detail skills.
- Answers telephone and schedules appointments in a professional manner.
- Provides a clean and safe working environment for associates and members.
- Helps to train and mentor new associates.
- Capable of working in an outdoor environment.
- Understands and anticipates the needs of members and guests; be attentive, listen carefully, and follow through; provide exceptional customer service.
- Communicates timely and follows up as appropriate.
- Actively participates in events, programs, meetings, and training.
- Represents the club in a professional manner through image, dress, communication, and immediate follow through and response.
- Schedule varies and may require weekend and holiday hours, days, and evenings; helps to cover shifts when needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary job function satisfactorily.
Skills & Knowledge- Industry Knowledge – Knowledge of vehicle detailing, detail chemicals, supplies, equipment, and machines and their proper use (preferred).
- Safety – Knowledge of maintaining a safe working environment, following, and enforcing safety procedures established by the company and industry.
- Written Comprehension and Expression – Ability to read, understand, and communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.
- Oral Comprehension and Expression – Ability to understand and communicate so others can understand ideas and information.
- Problem Anticipation / Deductive Reasoning – Ability to identify when something is wrong or likely to go wrong and apply general rules to specific problems to produce logical solutions.
- Computer – Ability to understand and properly operate the club’s point‑of‑sale and booking systems; complete accurate cash transactions and fill out service invoices.
- Teamwork – Ability to work independently, taking initiative as needed, while still being directed by supervisors; openness to suggestions from members, co‑workers, and management.
- Previous customer service experience (preferred, not required).
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- A valid Washington State driver’s license with a clean driving record.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires a high level of physical activity, including frequent periods of standing, bending, and walking. May be on feet for extended periods while working with chemicals to wash vehicles. Ability to lift 50‑75 pounds is essential.
- Frequently stoops, bends, squats, climbs, kneels, twists, sits, stands, walks, reaches above shoulders, and below knees.
- May occasionally work in temperatures above 100°F or below 32°F.
- Consistently interacts with outside personnel such as residents and clients via in person, phone, and email.
- Location may change frequently from indoors to outdoors.
- May encounter unpleasant or angry customers requiring problem‑solving.
- Must adapt to a frequently changing environment.
