Event And Activity Staff
The Event and Activity Staff is responsible for supporting the needs of individual children/youth and assisting in providing developmentally appropriate and culturally relevant activities. The Event and Activity Staff will help to create an environment that is safe and friendly.

Duties and responsibilities include: helping maintain the physical site, ensuring personal safety of all campus guests, collaborating with other staff and the Athletic Director to ensure good communication, building a partnership with the community, and performing other tasks as requested by the Athletic Director, Administrator, and Principal.
Positions could include announcer, clock operator, parking monitor, scorebook keeper, ticket seller, ticket taker, and security.
Reporting relationships are to the High School Athletic Director. Education and experience requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, being at least 19 years of age, and thorough knowledge of building policies, procedures, and event requirements.
Skills required include the ability to monitor safe and efficient utilization of materials, be accountable for set-up and storage of equipment, record information, keep accurate records, read and follow directions accurately, use decision making strategies and follow through on a plan of action, exhibit commitment to the organization, locate a variety of resources to meet program needs, display enthusiasm/positive attitude, use clear verbal and non-verbal communication skills, accept constructive criticism, demonstrate a commitment to provide quality service, effectively work with high school students, stakeholders, and the community, provide access control, crowd management, ensure the venue is safe for guests, provide guests with directions or assistance, settle disputes and answer inquiries, act upon all comments/complaints in a prompt and friendly manner, show understanding and empathy for families and others, recognize the value of diversity, ensure a safe and fun environment for all guests, staff, and students, and be comfortable in all emergency situations, deal with injuries.
Physical requirements include stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. Medium work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. May work outdoors in inclement weather. May require physical mobility to move through a school campus, including up and down stairs and inside and outside.
This is a general posting for one or more Event and Activity Staff positions at high school level. Positions may be full or part-time and will be filled as specific openings are identified. These are temporary hourly positions with no benefits. Hourly rate is $25.31 per hour. The number of hours that Event Staff work is dependent upon the number and length of events at the school.
No specific guarantee of work is offered. Event staff are not eligible for benefits.
