Salary: between $115,000 – $123,000, depending on experience

Job SummaryBellevue Christian School is seeking a faith-filled, experienced, and inspirational leader to serve as the Junior and High School Principal. This role provides spiritual, instructional, and administrative leadership to ensure students receive a comprehensive, Christ-centered education. The principal leads faculty and staff, inspires innovation, and collaborates with parents to uphold the mission of BCS. The ideal candidate is a dedicated Christian educator with 7+ years of combined administrative and teaching experience in secondary education.
The principal will have a proven ability to lead teams, implement best practices, and foster a culture of faith and academic excellence. Strong relational, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with a commitment to mentoring faculty, supporting students’ spiritual and academic growth.
Responsibilities- Provide students a well-rounded, Christ centered education.
- Develop and oversee academic programs that integrate a biblical worldview with academic excellence.
- Address and resolve concerns fairly and respectfully.
- Foster a welcoming and professional school environment through collaboration, communication, and service.
- Manage timely submission of reports and compliance documentation.
- Participate in student recruitment, admissions, and promotional efforts. Attend, facilitate, present, and/or supervise evening events including, but not limited to concerts, athletics, award events, open house, parent orientations, selected school board meetings, and graduation.
- Ensure efficient scheduling of classes, staff, and resources to maximize student learning outcomes.
- Maintain student records and update the student handbook as needed.
- Implement a consistent, mission aligned discipline system.
- Develop and manage the annual budget.
- Recruit, supervise and evaluate faculty, ensuring alignment with the school’s education and spiritual mission.
- Lead faculty and staff meetings, ensuring clear communication and goal alignment.
- Collaborate with the leadership team on curriculum development, policy updates, and professional development.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback for growth and retention.
- Use data to drive continuous improvement and support professional development through mentorship and training.
- Engage parents and community groups in student activities and school initiatives.
- Maintain strong relationships with parents, students, and the broader community, representing the school in various settings.
- Encourage parent engagement and volunteer involvement.
The ideal candidate will be a mature Christian who models a personal, authentic relationship with Jesus Christ and demonstrates a commitment to the local church.
Additionally, the candidate will:
- Hold an earned master’s degree, with 7+ years of teaching and educational leadership experience, preferably including within a Christian education environment.
- Experience reporting to a Board is preferred.
- Be well-versed in biblical knowledge and integrate Christian worldview into all aspects of learning.
- Demonstrate wisdom, discernment, and the ability to manage confidential information.
- Possess proven leadership skills and a commitment to growing as a servant leader, building a high performing team.
- Be an effective communicator who can motivate others, manage change, and clearly convey the school’s mission and vision.
- Demonstrate an ability to plan, set priorities, and implement work in a disciplined manner, keeping multiple projects progressing to completion simultaneously with minimal direction.
- Balance “big picture” thinking with attention to detail.
- Possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Be skilled in strategic management, program development, and evaluation.
- Have a strong understanding of educational regulations.
