Position SummaryReporting to the Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs, the Dean of Health Sciences, Education, and Wellness Institute (HSEWI) provides collaborative, equity-driven leadership for the division. The Dean advances Bellevue College's mission and vision by supporting faculty excellence, championing innovative and inclusive programs, and strengthening community and industry partnerships.
With oversight of curriculum, accreditation, personnel, and resources, the Dean ensures that HSEWI programs meet professional and transfer standards while remaining responsive to the diverse aspirations of students and the evolving needs of the region. As a member of the Academic Affairs leadership team, the Dean contributes to institutional transformation by translating strategic vision into effective practice that prioritizes equity, student success, and community impact.
This is an interim temporary position, expected to end on 05/15/2026.
Pay, Benefits & Work SchedulePosition Salary Range: $117,831/year - $176,747/year
The salary information shown above is a general guideline only. The salary will be determined based on candidate's qualifications and related experience, as well as market and business considerations. Typically, new hire starts no higher than $132,560/year based on Bellevue College Exempt salary schedule.

The employee is scheduled to work 40 hours per workweek. This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act, which means that you are not eligible for overtime pay.

Strategic Leadership and Vision Implementation
- Lead the development and execution of a divisional mission and vision aligned with Bellevue College's mission, vision, and strategic plan.
- Represent HSEWI in college-wide strategic planning, governance, and decision-making.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and collaborative leadership across health sciences, education, and wellness programs.
- Build and sustain partnerships with clinical sites, K'12 districts, industry, and community organizations to strengthen programs and expand experiential learning.
