POSITION OBJECTIVE
This position is responsible for Student Supervision and Management.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary.)
- Coordinates, facilitates and implements disciplinary intervention steps, including PBIS, and processes with staff, working closely with building administrators.
- Attends and participates in various leadership team meetings and other building meetings as assigned.
- Coordinates, facilitates and implements attendance intervention steps, including but not limited to holding attendance conferences, making home visits, and preparing BECCA paperwork.
- Coordinates implementation of parent involvement as well as school-sponsored events.
- Assists with school-wide and event supervision.
- Oversees the school-wide emergency preparedness team meetings and implementation efforts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
- Reports directly to and is supervised by Building Administrator
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (positions in this class typically require)
Required
- Possess or qualify for immediate issuance of a valid Washington State teaching certificate. Training and/or experience in the areas of teaching, peer tutoring, and student intervention.
Preferred
- Experience as a classroom teacher
- Experience in a Title 1 school, Dual Language School
SKILLS (position requirements at entry)
- Ability to adapt teaching style and materials to meet individual student needs;
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with all staff, students, parents, and community members;
- Ability to organize, maintain, and manage a clean and safe class setting;
- Ability to perform all duties in accordance with applicable Board policies and district and legal requirements;
- Ability to meet and maintain punctuality and attendance expectations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Positions in this class typically require stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. This position may be exposed to prolonged exposure to visual display terminals as required. Medium Work:
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, odors, chemicals, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, and intense noises.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
$73,990 to $138,754 annual salary (based on the negotiated collective bargaining agreement salary schedule). Certificated staff work the school year contract with placement on the District and BEA bargaining agreement salary schedule. Placement on the schedule is determined by training and experience.
Medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, and life-insurance eligibility is based upon .45 FTE. Retirement provided through Washington State Department of Retirement Systems.
