Position Summary:
The Business Management, Business Management & Technology (BMT), and Business Analysis & Technology (BATECH) programs at Bellevue College are seeking qualified applicants for an Assistant Adjunct Professor. Assistant Adjunct Faculty are assigned instructional loads on a quarter-by-quarter basis, as needed based on enrollment. Faculty teach at Bellevue College's main campus in Bellevue, Washington and may teach both in-person and online. Faculty maintain high academic standards and actively engage students in learning through discussion, writing, and analytical exercises.
Faculty communicate regularly with students and provide students with constructive and timely feedback on assignments and examinations. Adjunct Faculty in the Business Management, Business Management & Technology, and Business Analysis & Technology (BATECH) programs report to the Dean of Social Science.

Work Schedule:
Adjunct Professor is typically assigned as needed on a quarterly basis, with no expectation of continued employment beyond the current appointment. Quarterly remuneration for 5-credit lecture class is $6,418.75 - $7,824.66. Compensation is prorated based on type and duration of assignments. Individuals newly hired to Adjunct Professor group at the college are placed at the minimum rate per union bargaining agreement.
Certain positions may also be eligible for assignment/project-based additional compensation, including a High Demand Stipend up to $8,350 annually, prorated based on the discipline and duration of the assignment. All additional compensations are subject to change depending on funding and negotiated agreement.

In addition to teaching, faculty maintains office hours and may participate in department and college activities. This position is represented by the Bellevue College Association of Higher Education (BCAHE) union.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from an accredited institution, or, a Bachelor's Degree in a related business discipline from an accredited institution plus three (3) years industry experience at a management level. Five (5) years of industry experience in business with an MBA, or 10 years of industry experience without an MBA. Three (3) years of industry experience in business and/or business technology within the past five (5) years.
Demonstrated ability to clearly describe current regional, national, and international trends and approaches in business and business technology. Demonstrated ability to present current knowledge and skills, at the intermediate and expert levels, in business analysis and with business technology systems used for business analysis. Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn new business technologies. One (1) year experience teaching at the college level and/or leading industry training in a business environment.
One (1) year experience developing curriculum in higher education and/or training manuals and presentations in a business environment. Effective oral and written communication skills consistent with business industry standards. Ability to communicate with a broad range of audiences about business in professional level. Demonstrated experience and willingness to work collegially with a broad range of students, colleagues, and/or clients in a collaborative and inclusive environment.
Ability to teach in-person on-campus, as scheduled. Ability and willingness to adapt to changing teaching schedules and situations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Two (2) years experience teaching in higher education and/or leading industry training in a corporate environment in business. Two (2) year experience developing curriculum in higher education and/or training manuals and presentations in a corporate environment in business. Demonstrated professional experience or background in organizational leadership, team motivation, and strategic decision-making frameworks, with a focus on applying leadership theory to business or business technology environments.
Demonstrated professional experience in international business operations, including familiarity with global supply chain management, cross-border technology transfers, international risk mitigation, and trade regulations. Demonstrated expertise in business analytics and…
