Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Center Assistant Director and under the general direction of Early Childhood Specialist 3 and 4, the Early Childhood Specialist 1 helps provide and guide care and general educational activities for children in the Center. The position perform classroom, playground, office, laundry, field trip and kitchen work as assigned. Duties are performed following clearly defined work procedures and priorities.
ln accordance with the Early Learning Center philosophy and policies, the Early Childhood Specialist 1 works with center staff to provide appropriate interactions and support serving diverse populations to help meet the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical needs of children within a group setting.
Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule
Position Salary Range: $39,980/year - $45,900/year
The salary information shown above is a general guideline only. The salary will be determined based on candidate's qualifications and related experience, as well as market and business considerations. Individuals newly hired to Classified position are placed in a salary range based on the WPEA Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The employee is scheduled to work 40 hours per workweek: Monday ' Friday, 8 hours daily, vary between 6:45am ' 6:15pm. This is a Classified, overtime eligible position and represented by the Washington Public Employee Association of Higher Education (WPEA-HE).
