Position: Adjunct Faculty-College Success (part-time)

THIS POSITION IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO COMMUNITY PARTNERS OF PIERCE COLLEGE

Applications will remain on file for 1 year.

Lecture rate is generally $1,221,95 per credit hour.

  • Teach course(s) as assigned.
  • Use common curriculum provided by College Success department.
  • Conduct assigned classes in a manner that promotes student success and incorporates various teaching styles and technology.
  • Be available to students before and after class either in-person or virtually.
  • Work effectively with colleagues and students of various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Be a point of connection between Pierce College students and their community organization.
Required:
  • Master's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Affiliation with a community partner of Pierce College (for example: board member, or volunteer.)
Preferred:
  • Ability to speak in front of and facilitate groups of up to 35

Note:

Successful applicants must complete a College Success summer training program. The program includes a one-day, in-person, paid training that introduces instructors to Pierce College, the College Success department, mission, staff, curriculum, and pedagogical training.
