Qualifications:

• Valid Washington State Special Education teaching license is required
• Proven ability to develop, implement, and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, families, and staff
• Previous experience working with high school-aged students is preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and deliver engaging instruction aligned with students' IEP goals
• Assess students' progress, adjusting learning strategies as needed
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and administrators to promote student success
• Foster a supportive classroom culture that emphasizes respect, inclusion, and growth
• Partner with families to encourage student achievement and well-being
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state guidelines
