Qualifications:

• Current and valid Washington Special Education teaching license
• Experience working with high school students in a classroom or special education setting
• Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt lessons and strategies to accommodate a variety of learning profiles

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging, differentiated instruction based on students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that prioritizes student well-being and academic achievement
• Collaborate with general education teachers, speech therapists, school administrators, and families
• Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate records and IEP documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to creating appropriate accommodations and modifications
