Qualifications and Skills Desired:

• Current Washington State Special Education Teacher certification (WA SPED)
• Proven experience or strong interest in providing specialized instruction to elementary-aged students (K–4th)
• Ability to develop, implement, and monitor IEPs
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn designated IEP systems (with training provided)
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration abilities
• Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive classroom environments

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and indirect special education services to elementary students within the ACCESS program
• Develop comprehensive lesson plans and adapt teaching strategies to meet individualized student needs
• Conduct assessments, monitor progress, and participate actively in the IEP process
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
• Participate in team meetings, contribute to interdisciplinary discussions, and maintain necessary records
• Travel between assigned school sites and ensure continuity of support
