Make a meaningful impact supporting students growth and engagement in a dynamic academic environment. Two opportunities are now open for experienced Occupational Therapists who thrive in school-based settings and are passionate about fostering student independence and success. Contracts begin ASAP, running through October 2026 and December 2026, with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities include:- Assessing student abilities and challenges through comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations
- Managing a full caseload while collaborating with multidisciplinary school teams
- Participating in initial evaluations, reevaluations, and actively engaging in IEP meetings
- Developing and implementing individualized OT interventions, goals, and accommodations
- Delivering therapy and consultation services in both general education and special education classrooms
- Consulting with teachers, para educators, families, and other student support staff to adapt materials and activities according to individual needs
- Maintaining accurate, timely records progress notes, evaluation reports, IEP documentation
- Utilizing data-driven decisions to monitor student progress and refine interventions as required
- Maintaining compliance with special education regulations and procedural requirements
- Engaging in staff meetings and ongoing professional development
- Valid and current OSPI certification/licensure
- Demonstrated history of occupational therapy practice in a public‑school environment
- Familiarity with IEP development, compliance, and special education evaluation processes
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with a variety of educational professionals and families
- Strong proficiency in adapting equipment, environments, and instructional activities for diverse learners
