Market Development Associate, Business Development & StrategyThe Market Development Associate, Business Development & Strategy reports to the SVP of Business Development and supports business and market development, partnership and customer decisions, and Terra Power’s market entry strategy through data‑driven insights and analyses.
Responsibilities- Conduct in‑depth tracking and analysis of U.S. power market trends in key states and localities of interest as well as targeted third‑country power market analyses.
- Monitor policy and other trends to inform Terra Power nuclear deployment.
- Track electricity demand trends, decarbonization targets, and low‑carbon technology deployments to understand Natrium’s market fit within low‑carbon strategies.
- Monitor and track energy technologies and deployments in key areas and markets of interest.
- Provide insights to support new market entry strategies.
- Prepare market development trend briefings and presentations for senior leadership.
- Produce status reports as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, energy, engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 3–5+ years’ experience, preferably in the nuclear sector.
- Strong understanding of:
- U.S. and global power markets
- Low‑carbon technologies, including nuclear reactor technologies
- Energy transition policies
- Electricity market structures
- Experience with energy databases and market intelligence platforms.
- Excellent analytical and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of low‑carbon technologies and nuclear power is also preferred.
- Familiarity with U.S. Independent System Operators, Regional Transmission Operators, and state‑level analogues.
- Motor Abilities:
Sitting for extended periods, bending/stooping, grasping/gripping, fine motor control (hands). - Physical exertion and/or requirements:
Minimal, with ability to safely lift up to 25 pounds. - Special senses:
Visual and audio focused work. - Work conditions:
Stairs, typing/keyboard, standard and/or sitting working environment of >8 hours/day. - Travel required:
0–10%.
Salary Range: $87,686 – $131,529 (specific to Washington State).
