Role

The WW Equipment Engineering Innovation team is searching for an innovative and solutions‑oriented engineer to lead the initiative of developing and delivering current and next‑generation equipment for our world‑class delivery stations. This is a unique opportunity at a critical juncture in Amazon’s growth to drive end‑to‑end equipment development, work with vendors across the world to increase vendor design and manufacturing capability and drive internal and external equipment quality control mechanisms.

You will collaborate with internal and external teams to design high‑quality, cost‑effective solutions for our last‑mile delivery systems. To be successful you will need to influence and work with senior leaders across multiple organizations and geographies. You will work with organizations such as Worldwide Engineering and Design, WW Tech SME, Last Mile Delivery and Tech as well as Operations to innovate at scale and drive the development roadmap.

You will manage large, complex initiatives, and advocate on behalf of the customer to develop the next generation of AMZL delivery station.

You will work with a team of highly skilled and highly engaged engineers in a fast‑paced and often ambiguous environment. Our team works on the medium and long term, incremental and radical innovation of process infrastructure, equipment and standards for launch and legacy delivery stations. You will be challenged; you will learn; you will work on high impact, high visibility projects;

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead initiative of developing & delivering current and next‑generation equipment for world‑class delivery stations.
  • Drive end‑to‑end equipment development and work with vendors globally to increase design and manufacturing capability.
  • Drive internal and external equipment quality control mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to design high‑quality, cost‑effective solutions for last‑mile delivery systems.
  • Influence and work with senior leaders across multiple organizations and geographies.
  • Manage large, complex initiatives and advocate on behalf of the customer.
  • Work with Worldwide Engineering and Design, WW Tech SME, Last Mile Delivery and Tech, and Operations to innovate at scale and drive development roadmap.
  • Deliver high‑impact, high‑visibility projects in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any domain)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Engineering (any discipline), Operations, Business Administration, or a related field and at least five years of progressively responsible experience in the specialty.
  • Experience working with designs of complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems including robotics and high‑speed manufacturing.
  • Experience with process design based on LEAN.
  • Proficiency using business/technical software like MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software.
