Application Engineer

Our locations in Washington, Oregon, and three in California, provide the West Coast, Nevada and Utah with personalized solutions and a fast response service team.

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Application Engineer for our Southern California region.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and training for customers with a majority of the focus on new installations.
• Assist with customer inquiries, production issues and troubleshooting for non-service related problems related to the machine's performance.
• Assist Sales staff with sales calls, research, machine recommendations and time studies.
• Researching, ordering tooling, work holding and materials as it relates to special projects
• Collaborate with other Application Engineer’s on open projects.
• All other duties assigned

Qualifications

• Basic Understanding and Ability to Read Mechanical Drawings and Layouts
• Basic Understanding of mechanical systems
• Competent in basic hand tools for machine tool repair
• Basic CAD/CAM skills required
• Must have the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
• Needs to possess excellent troubleshooting skills
• Must have good customer service skills
• Ability to maintain good relations with customers and fellow colleagues
• Must be a team player
• Should have excellent verbal communication skills
• Must have the ability to work under pressure
• Valid Drivers License
• Must be able to travel

Education/Experience

• Associates Degree in Machining Technology or similar from a technical Junior College and two years’ experience in a CNC Machining EnvironmentOR…
• BS in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering with a strong emphasis on CNC Machining Lab workOR…
• 4 Years’ Experience in a CNC machine shop with a minimum of two years as a set up person included in that time
