We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Mechanical Engineer in Bellevue, Washington
. As a Mechanical Engineering Professional, part of our Cities and Places team, you will be an integral member of the design team. You will have the opportunity to perform building mechanical analysis and design for a wide range of projects locally, nationally, and around the world, producing technical reports, construction drawings and technical specifications. Specific Mechanical design efforts will entail design for manufacturing, education and healthcare facilities, data centers, planning studies, water and wastewater treatment facilities.

Additionally, your expertise will be leveraged to help support pipe sizing calculations, pump selection, piping systems, chemical systems, HVAC Design, and hydraulic studies.

You will have the opportunity to grow professionally through challenging projects and working closely with our multi‑discipline design teams, Senior Project Managers, and our clients. Here’s what you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Professional Engineering registration (P.E.) or ability to obtain.
  • Range of 7‑15 years relevant professional experience for infrastructure and building‑related design projects.
  • Ability to perform as a lead mechanical engineer.
  • Experience working in a multi‑discipline team with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with US building codes: IMC, UMC, ASHRAE 90.1/62.1/62.2, IPC, IBC.
Ideally, you’ll also have
  • Experience using building BIM drafting software (AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit).
  • Practical, hands‑on experience and/or construction support.
  • Experience with alternate delivery (Design‑Build, CMAR/CM‑GC and/or EPC projects).
  • Experience in developing project level of efforts for building mechanical design.
