- Perform plant‑level thermal‑hydraulic analysis for normal operations, upset conditions, and emergency scenarios
- Develop and evaluate plant control strategies and component‑level controllers
- Perform first‑principles calculations (heat transfer, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics) to support analysis results
- Analyze plant‑wide transients to support operational strategies and design improvements
- Conduct multi‑scale, multidisciplinary analyses involving sodium, molten salt, and non‑condensable fluids
- Collaborate with engineering teams across system, component, fuel, and control system design
- Support development of analytical methods and validation of modeling approaches
- B.S. or higher in Nuclear, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
- Experience with system codes such as RELAP5 or TRACE (required)
- Strong thermal‑hydraulic analysis experience, including one‑dimensional hydraulic networks and transient analysis
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Experience modeling control systems and I&C
- Background in nuclear power plant design or operations
- Experience developing new analytical methods
- Travel: 0–5%
- Work Environment:
Primarily remote, standard office setting - Physical Requirements:
