As a Geotechnical Engineer in our Bellevue, Washington office, you’ll join a dynamic team of nearly 150 geotechnical professionals across 15+ offices in North America, supporting a diverse portfolio of civil infrastructure projects.
What You’ll DoYou’ll work on projects from concept through construction—across both design‑bid‑build and design‑build delivery models. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, you’ll share technical insights across geographic boundaries and contribute to innovative solutions for projects ranging from local builds to global infrastructure.
Responsibilities- Participating in field assignments: soil and rock borings, CPT soundings, geophysical testing, instrumentation installation, and construction inspections
- Analyzing field logs and lab data to support geotechnical design decisions
- Designing shallow and deep foundations, earth retaining structures, ground improvement, embankments, cut slopes, and more
- Performing seismic hazard analyses, including site‑response studies and liquefaction evaluations
- Preparing calculation packages and technical documentation (memos, reports, specifications)
- Using advanced software tools such as Settle3D, Slide, LPILE, Deep Xcav, FLAC, PLAXIS, and MathCAD for engineering analysis
- Reviewing construction submittals for compliance with design assumptions and contract requirements

Qualifications- 2–5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering
- BS in Civil Engineering and MS/PhD with a geotechnical or geological emphasis
- Strong academic foundation in soil mechanics and geotechnical design principles
- Proficiency with geotechnical analysis software
- Experience in site characterization, deep foundation and retaining structure design, and seismic evaluations

The base salary range for this position is $79,900.00 to $. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
