Job Description

Civil Engineering firm looking to add a Project Manager to their Aviation team - awesome opportunity within a growing firm seeking a civil engineer with project management experience in aviation.

Salary: $140,000 - $160,000 per year.

• Lead and manage airport design projects from concept through construction.
• Ensure all project deliverables meet technical, quality, and regulatory standards, particularly FAA requirements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including airport authorities, DOTs, municipalities, and industry partners.
• Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
• Oversee project teams, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful execution and delivery.
• Contribute to the strategic growth of the aviation engineering practice through leadership and collaboration.

• Support strategic marketing efforts to promote Shrewsberry’s services within designated geographic regions.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with key clients through proactive engagement and communication.
• Assist in the development of compelling proposals, including defining scopes of work and aligning with client objectives.
• Contribute to pursuit strategies and participate in client-facing presentations to secure new opportunities.
• Utilize CRM tools to monitor and manage pursuit activity and client interactions.
• Conduct client meetings to understand project goals, technical requirements, and future opportunities.

• Lead the successful delivery of aviation projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes on schedule and within budget.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers throughout the design and development process.
• Oversee and coordinate multidisciplinary project team efforts to ensure alignment and efficiency.
• Leverage project management software for task planning, resource allocation, progress tracking, and invoicing.
• Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for assigned projects to ensure operational and financial goals are met.
• Collaborate with the Safety Officer to perform job hazard analyses and develop site‑specific safety plans that align with company and regulatory standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required; a focus in transportation or aviation engineering is a plus.
• Minimum 6 years progressive experience in airside and landside airport design.
• Strong working knowledge of FAA design standards, project management practices, and client relationship management.
• Experience with proposal development, scope definition, and budget preparation preferred.
• Familiarity with FAA design criteria and standards and ability to obtain and maintain PE licensure across multiple states.
