Solution Introduction Engineer – Services RF
Ericsson Inc. seeks an Engineer – Services RF (Solution Introduction Engineer) in Bellevue, WA. The role carries a hybrid work policy within commuting distance and requires 25% domestic and international travel.
Responsibilities- Provide a complete list of testing tools, lab equipment, and materials required to fully verify assigned feature functionality.
- Accomplish liberty of design capture with one or more test cases to fully verify the assigned feature functionality.
- Send daily feature test reports to the lead phase and document any software defect found during testing scope.
- Open a new CSR/TR according to pertinent TR guidelines and follow up until resolution.
- Communicate to phase lead and project about any newfound issue, assessing whether the testing mandate and defined scope have been accomplished.
- Serve as the first line of troubleshooting for any issues related to the assigned functionality; isolate problems and distinguish between functionality and configuration issues.
- Perform all configuration settings related to assigned features.
- Perform eUTRAN feature testing in customer networks, configure them according to operator strategy, and evaluate performance.
- Perform RU/DU connectivity checks and implement EMS/NMS/NE SW upgrade MOPs in commercial networks.
- Design and document test cases based on company feature requirements and 3
GPP specifications. - Develop strong system knowledge required for mission‑critical push‑to‑talk services and call flow.
- O‑RAN SW deployment and feature testing; integrate new radio in eNodeB; validate /NSA feature testing with Ericsson’s new basebands/radios.
- Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) or related field with 4years of experience in cellular engineering and telecommunications
- Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) or related field with 1year of experience in cellular engineering and telecommunications
- Experience (minimum 4years for Bachelor’s, 1year for Master’s) in the following areas:
- Long Term Evolution
- New Radio
- Radio Access Network software and hardware (Radio Base Stations)
- Layer3 tracing in a RAN environment, using tracing tools and decoding messages exchanged between LTE or 5G nodes
- Investigating and resolving technical problems in lab environments and existing customer networks
- Sprint wireless network technology, including EPC core and IMS
- NSA (Non‑Standalone New Radio)
- SA (Standalone New Radio)
- Carrier aggregation
- 5G High Band;
Mid‑Band and Low‑Band technologies - System integration
- Network architecture
- Call flows
Salary range: $165,953–$187,500, dependent on location and qualifications. Compensation may also include an annual bonus and benefits as described below.
