We're growing—and we're looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer who is excited to help shape the future of mechanical design while working alongside some of the best professionals in the industry.
What You’ll DoAs our Lead Mechanical Engineer, you’ll serve as the technical leader for mechanical system design.
You’ll lead projects from concept through construction while collaborating closely with project managers, estimators, field teams, and owners to deliver exceptional results.
Responsibilities- Lead the design of HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial construction projects.
- Serve as the Engineer of Record and provide Washington State PE-stamped construction documents
- Develop mechanical concepts and Basis of Design documentation
- Prepare complete construction drawings and Division 22 & 23 specifications
- Collaborate with owners, architects, contractors, and consultants throughout every phase of a project
- Participate in project pursuits, interviews, and proposal development to help win new work
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers, designers, and project teams
- Support Design-Build, Design-Assist, Progressive Design-Build, MCCM, and Design-Bid-Build delivery methods
- Review drawings for quality, constructability, coordination, and code compliance
- Provide technical support during construction including submittal reviews, RFIs, field observations, and problem-solving
- Stay current with emerging technologies, energy codes, and industry best practices
- Washington State Professional Engineer (PE) License or be willing to get licensed in a short time frame
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 7+ years of HVAC OR plumbing design experience
- Strong knowledge of mechanical building systems and applicable building codes
- Experience preparing engineering calculations and stamped construction documents
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
