Role Description
Seeking a Senior Specialist Hardware Server Qualification Engineer with 7 to 11 years of experience to lead qualification validation and debugging of server hardware platforms and silicon interfaces in a cloud‑native and high‑performance computing environment.
- Responsible for qualification and validation of server hardware platforms including CPUs, memory, storage, networking, and peripherals.
- Execute system‑level test plans covering functionality, performance, stress, and reliability.
- Develop and automate test scripts and tools for hardware validation and regression testing.
- Bring up, validate, and characterize high‑speed D2D and SERDES silicon interfaces following industry best practices.
- Collaborate with design and firmware teams to troubleshoot, debug failures and resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, interoperability requirements and customer specifications.
- Analyze large data sets using tools such as Kusto for root‑cause analysis and health investigations.
- Work with modern server architectures including GPUs and CPUs with experience in liquid cooling systems and power‑network environments.
- Apply expertise in root‑cause analysis and corrective actions to minimize production defects.
- Communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical insights.
- Lead qualification and validation efforts of server hardware and silicon components.
- Execute and automate comprehensive test plans for functionality, performance and reliability.
- Perform root‑cause debugging and failure analysis collaborating with design and firmware teams.
- Develop bench software and hardware integration setups for silicon validation and characterization.
- Write software routines in Python and C++ to support hardware bring‑up and testing.
- Collaborate with design teams to improve testability and define test infrastructure logic.
- Mentor junior engineers and guide best practices in hardware validation and cloud‑native development.
- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technology roadmap planning.
- Document test results, track defects and support release readiness of server platforms.
- Demonstrate leadership skills, drive action across diverse teams and maintain compliance with security and quality standards.
Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, performance and internal equity.
