Position: Technical Program Manager, Electrical Engineering, Engineering & Design (Fulfillment & Operations)

Technical Program Manager, Electrical Engineering, Engineering & Design

Amazon is deploying the largest private EV network in the world—and we need a Technical Program Manager to lead design and integrate new EV products into this expanding infrastructure. This role will drive the integration of new infrastructure systems into standardized templates and manage a portfolio of projects across North America.

This is a high‑impact role for someone who combines technical depth and rigor with a high attention to detail and quality. You’ll own the operating rhythm of a portfolio of projects, turning concepts into permit‑ready construction sets, building systems for leadership visibility, and driving execution across supply chain, construction, utility engagement, and product development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a portfolio of designs for electrification and infrastructure, translating concepts into permit‑ready construction sets.
  • Build and run operating mechanisms to enable new product integration at scale, driving key performance metrics.
  • Identify risks to goals, scope solutions, set milestones, and allocate resources for resolution.
  • Prepare executive status updates, escalating quickly and clearing blockers to keep programs on track.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation while serving as liaison among product development, supply chain, and construction.
  • Run leadership meetings, prepare agendas, drive decisions and actions, and ensure follow‑through.
  • Leverage Amazon’s tools to create AI‑enabled workflows that reduce manual work and support scale.
A Day in the Life

Your mornings may start with a team huddle with construction project managers, schedulers, and utility engagement managers to understand the milestones and blockers of your portfolio. By mid‑day you’ll conduct design reviews with external architects and peer engineers to ensure adherence to standards and value‑engineer the system. Later in the week you’ll collaborate with product managers and cross‑functional stakeholders on requirements for the next‑generation product.

Between design work streams you’ll develop larger solutions, using advanced AI tooling to automate the end‑to‑end design lifecycle, and you’ll close the week with updates to the Director/VP on program‑wide initiatives.

About the Team

Global Fleet and Products, Electrification and Infrastructure pioneers the EV infrastructure of the future. We design, deploy, and sustain all electrification infrastructure worldwide to support Amazon’s EV fleet, working at the intersection of electrical engineering, construction, fleet operations, and technology to deliver reliable, scalable infrastructure in diverse environments.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
  • 7+ years of direct experience working with engineering teams.
  • Experience managing programs across cross‑functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
  • Proven track record of owning technical documentation, leading standardization efforts, and evaluating trade‑offs of specifications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related infrastructure field (Master’s degree preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk and critical‑path management.
  • Experience defining KPIs/SLA’s used to drive multi‑million‑dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
  • Experience with North American codes and acceptance requirements (e.g., NFPA 70E, UL, NETA).
  • Exceptional team player who leverages AI fluency for scale and dissects complex problems into manageable solutions.
