Innovation & Design Engineer, Design Engineering; Fulfillment & Operations

We’re looking to add a handful of high‑impact engineers to our team. In this role, you will collaborate with internal and external teams to design high‑quality, cost‑effective solutions for our fulfillment and distribution systems. You will own multiple projects simultaneously, from concept realization through design approval. You will serve as the supplier’s primary technical point of contact for your projects, and once the design is completed and approved, you will hand‑off the project to our Ops Engineering team for installation, commissioning, and launch.

Your projects may include green‑fields, brown‑fields, and retrofits, including highly automated fulfillment centers, cross‑dock facilities, and transportation centers. They will be a mix of template‑based and custom‑designed solutions.

You will work with a team of highly skilled and highly engaged engineers in a fast‑paced and often ambiguous environment. Our team works on hundreds of projects each year, so you will be challenged, you will learn, and you will work on high‑impact, high‑visibility projects that will help you grow.

• Experience in Design/Innovation, research & development, manufacturing, process, industrial engineering, or related work
• Experience in management of engineering design projects
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
• 3+ years of Design/Innovation, research & development, manufacturing, process, industrial engineering, or related experience

• Master's degree in Engineering (any domain) or foreign equivalent, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field
• Knowledge of concepts such as system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision making
• Experience with complex automated material‑handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems and high‑speed manufacturing
• Experience with design‑in‑safety
• Experience with process design based on Lean Principles

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
