Responsibilities- The Facility Designer I is responsible for developing a major portion of project deliverables, including facility programming, report writing, site master planning, developing specifications and construction documents.
- Coordinate and lay out design elements (vehicle maintenance equipment, site flow, etc.).
- Create / use Building Information Modeling (BIM) to complete different levels of documents.
- Review submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs; conduct construction field observations.
- Travel to client sites or other HDR offices as required.
- Perform other design / engineering tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, industrial design or related field.
- Command of Revit and AutoCAD; knowledge of Sketch Up.
- Command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
- Working knowledge of LOD 300 requirements.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to interact with and present to clients effectively.
- Ability to hand-draw conceptual site and building plans.
- Exceptional level of accuracy and detail.
