• The Facility Designer I is responsible for developing a major portion of project deliverables, including facility programming, report writing, site master planning, developing specifications and construction documents.
• Coordinate and lay out design elements (vehicle maintenance equipment, site flow, etc.).
• Create / use Building Information Modeling (BIM) to complete different levels of documents.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs; conduct construction field observations.
• Travel to client sites or other HDR offices as required.
• Perform other design / engineering tasks as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, industrial design or related field.
• Command of Revit and AutoCAD; knowledge of Sketch Up.
• Command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
• Working knowledge of LOD 300 requirements.

• Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to interact with and present to clients effectively.
• Ability to hand-draw conceptual site and building plans.
• Exceptional level of accuracy and detail.
