Overview
H.B. Fuller is seeking a Process Engineer to optimize manufacturing performance across bulk production, material handling, and packaging operations. This role applies data-driven methods to improve throughput, yield, reliability, and safety. The Process Engineer partners cross-functionally to support continuous improvement, capital projects, and process safety initiatives.
Responsibilities- Improve throughput, yield, cycle time, and OEE using data analysis
- Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions
- Troubleshoot process and equipment performance issues
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma methods to reduce waste and variation
- Support capacity planning and identify production bottlenecks
- Participate in PSM activities (PHA, MOC, PSSR) and ensure compliance
- Assist with capital projects, equipment selection, and startup
- Develop SOPs and train operators on process improvements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years in manufacturing, process improvement, or operations
- Experience with data analysis, SPC, or process optimization
- Demonstrated problem‑solving using measurable outcomes
- Work authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- 5+ years in chemicals, polymers, adhesives, or related industries
- Experience in PSM-regulated environments (PHA, MOC, PSSR)
- Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
- Familiarity with PLCs, DCS, SAP, or manufacturing systems
Salary: $80,000 – $94,000 per year, based on education, experience, certifications, and location.
