Project Controls Engineer

Seattle, WA – Fully Onsite

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project controls within R&D and engineering projects, preferably in highly regulated industries. This role will be responsible for implementing and maintaining project controls systems, providing accurate project performance reporting, and supporting effective project execution.

• Project Planning & Scheduling:
  Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Cost Control:
  Develop and manage project budgets, track costs, and analyze cost variances.
• Earned Value Management (EVM):
  Implement and maintain EVM systems, analyze project performance using EVM metrics (BCWS, BCWP, ACWP, SPI, CPI, EAC, Client, VAC), and provide timely reporting to project stakeholders.
• Risk Management:
  
  Support project risk identification, assessment, and mitigation planning.
• Reporting & Analysis:
  Prepare regular project performance reports, including schedule updates, cost reports, and risk assessments.
• Process Improvement:
  Identify opportunities for improving project controls processes and tools.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project control and execution.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience as a Project Controls Engineer, preferably in R&D and engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles
• Experience with EVM implementation and reporting.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.

• PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP), Project Management Professional (PMP), or AACE Certified Cost Professional (CCP) certification is preferred.
• Experience in highly regulated industries such as nuclear, aerospace, oil and gas, or pharmaceuticals is strongly preferred.
• Experience with Power BI or similar is preferred.
