Terra Power, LLC. is seeking an FTE to provide the following services to support the Natrium team. This individual is responsible for management of the Fuel and Material Supplied Equipment (FMSE) Group in support of the safe and timely delivery of equipment associated with the Natrium fuel supply. This role resides in the Natrium Supply Chain group and will report to the Natrium Director, Fuel Equipment.
Tasks
- The FSME Senior Manager acts as line manager for Equipment Supply Managers (ESM) assigned to the FMSE group.
- Interfaces with the Natrium Fuel Supply & Development department to ensure safe and timely delivery of equipment including but not limited to the Reactor Core Components and raw materials, assembly of non-fuel assemblies, and prototypic components for fuel development.
- Interfaces with the Natrium Fuel Supply & Development department to ensure safe and timely delivery of fuel supply logistics
- Support HALEU facility contract including oversight
- Ensure supplier performance management and oversight.
- Support monitoring of fuel equipment supply chain to ensure cost, schedule, quality, and safety metrics are met.
- Interface with Corporate teams including Finance, Legal, Procurement, Quality, and Facilities to ensure compliance with procedures and processes for delivery of equipment.
- Ensure the FSME ESMs adhere to classic project management tools to oversee suppliers including cost, schedule, submittal oversight, and resources.
- Key collaborator with supplier management to ensure fidelity to contract and technical direction with supplier.
- Review statements of work (SOW) and project planning to ensure proper execution of supplier projects to meet program objectives.
- Oversee supplier selection activities
- Maintain awareness of supplier technical capabilities, organization changes and relationships to ensure positive feedback to Natrium.
Key Qualifications and Skills
- Technical degree preferably in mechanical, electrical, chemical, nuclear, systems, or civil engineering required.
- 10-20 years' experience in supplier interaction.
- 3-5 years of management experience in related field preferred.
- Demonstrated skills in management of suppliers in design and manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrated skills in supporting the contractual and commercial aspects of customer/supplier relationships.
- Previous experience in technical interface with engineering groups for review and input to supplier activities.
- Required experience with project controls and organization along with tools and processes to support the same.
- A broad understanding of the mechanical, electrical, and nuclear engineering disciplines and how they interrelate is important.
- Strong communication skills desired.
