Corporate Tax Manager

Sum Bridge is hiring a Corporate Tax Manager for our Bellevue-based client. This will start as an onsite position and will allow for 1 day remote after ramped up in the role. The Corporate Tax Manager position will lead a team of 3 individual contributors and will be responsible for the global tax provisioning process. The Corporate Tax Manager will have opportunity for significant growth within this team and will be an integral part of developing tax staff.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise the income tax team. (team of 3 people)
• Responsible for preparation of the global forecast, monthly, quarterly, and annual tax provision.
• File consolidated federal income tax returns
• Participate in process improvement for tax procedures
• Manage federal and state audits as needed
• Support internal audits needs and SOX compliance
• Participate tax planning projects and research
• Assist with tax account reconciliation for reporting
• Collaborate with other departments on tax issues and assistance as needed

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of tax experience (public or corporate level tax)
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, and MS in Taxation is highly preferred
• Active CPA is desired
• Experience with ASC 740 (FAS 109) for public corporations is required
• Strong skills in Tax Provisioning ad ability to stay informed on changes within tax
• Excellent communicator as this role interfaces with many depts and entities both in written and verbal formats
• Ideal candidates will have a "can-do" type of attitude and work well independently and as a team member
• 2+ years of supervisory experience and track record of mentoring or training others
• Strong attention to detail
