We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. This role involves overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial operations, developing systems, and collaborating with senior management.
Responsibilities- Oversee and manage general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, reporting variances.
- Ensure all financial operations comply with federal and state laws.
- Develop and implement systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information.
- Work closely with the financial management team to create budgets and financial forecasts.
- Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to identify cost reduction opportunities.
- Oversee the preparation of all financial reports.
- Monitor the financial performance of the company.
- Implement policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with tax accountants to ensure compliance and accurate, timely tax returns.
- Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
- Provide leadership and support to accounts receivable and accounts payable departments.
- Manage the company's financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
- CPA or CMA certification strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
- Understanding of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
- Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
- Working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software.
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven strategic planning experience at the management level.
- Ability to work comfortably under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
