About the Role
We are excited to invite applications for the Chief Financial Officer - Nonprofit position within our Consulting & Outsourcing practice. This role is based in our Bellevue, WA office, where we collaborate closely with clients to transform their businesses by effectively managing risks, overcoming challenges, and meeting their workforce needs.
As a Chief Financial Officer, you will- Perform key CFO functions within the client's accounting services team.
- Identify and implement best practices to enhance value in the services provided to clients.
- Collaborate with clients to set financial policies and actively contribute to strategic planning.
- Oversee capital planning, risk management, ratio and KPI analysis, and client board interactions.
- Lead financial administration, planning, and budgeting efforts.
- Manage long‑term budget planning and cost control processes.
- Track budget progress and present key operational metrics.
- Cultivate a strong external business network to expand the CAAS practice.
- Establish yourself as a thought leader in CAAS within the specific industry, both internally and externally.
- Utilize firm CRM software to manage internal and external referrals effectively.
- Coordinate with internal client relationship leaders to grow CAAS services among existing CLA clients.
- Lead proposal writing and presentation efforts as necessary.
- A minimum of eight years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience.
- A bachelor's degree is required; a combination of related experience and education may be acceptable in lieu of a degree.
- Experience in the nonprofit sector is highly preferred.
- CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with Quick Books is a plus. - Prior experience in project management and client management is preferred but not required.
