Overview

Global Customer Fulfillment (GCF) Central Functions Finance provides optimized, effective, and timely analysis to drive the Fulfillment Center dual charter of lower cost and faster delivery. Our finance team provides analytical support ranging from macro level strategic issues with our Steam business partner to micro level analyses that indicate go/no-go recommendations on specific capacity and savings projects. Our partner teams include GCF supply chain and capacity, PPT, PXT Finance, accounting and E2E FP&A.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with your team to develop all planning and forecasting models, oversee their continuous innovation, and communicate findings to operations and other business partners.
  • Present the financial narrative on long-term plans, focusing on key risks and opportunities.
  • Work with data source providers and technology teams to ensure key decision data is accurate, automated, and timely.
  • Manage and participate in finance and accounting activities across several locations.
  • Recommend, develop, and implement policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving competitive position and profitability.
  • Create a "learn by doing" environment by engaging with on-the-floor associates and managers to promote customer focus.
  • Lead components of long-term planning, ad-hoc project analyses, and planning-related insights.
  • Collaborate with partner teams to identify and report on key financial metrics and to understand gaps behind planning variances.
  • Continuously improve existing processes with an eye toward automation, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Complete complex business modeling and analysis to identify operating improvements and analyze cost structures.
  • Influence business decisions with effective verbal and written communication, data-driven analysis and modelling, and presentation of options and alternatives.
  • Facilitate financial review meetings with leadership to ensure effective finance and cost management.
  • Manage data in financial systems and create insightful reports to drive business decisions.
  • Reconcile financial reports across different businesses and drive process improvements, automation, and consistency.
  • Drive regular metrics reviews and analytical support through deep-dive analyses.
  • Improve tools and processes; scale existing solutions or create new ones as required by stakeholder needs.
Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field
  • 5+ years in multiple finance and accounting roles
  • 6+ years of Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable experience
  • 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
  • 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
  • 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis
  • 6+ years participating in continuous improvement projects to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, or business, or a bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in a quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6+ years identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying root causes, and creating an escalation plan
  • 6+ years solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations with proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
  • MBA or CPA
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL
  • Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
