Hardware Finance & Accounting Professional

We’re looking for a highly experienced, versatile, and hardworking Hardware Finance & Accounting Professional (manager, senior manager, controller) to work collaboratively with our finance and hardware teams. This role will be responsible for the business and finance & accounting aspects of our hardware business:

• Lead forecasting for the hardware products’ life cycle and on a monthly basis to send to our contract manufacturers.
• Issue monthly purchase orders based on forecasts to contract manufacturers and ensure the build is consistent with forecasts.
• Monitor actual demand against forecast for the hardware business, assess performance and inventory levels, and raise options to the team to align trajectory/course‑correct, if necessary.
• Analyze hardware product costs for end‑consumer, retailer/distributor pricing for product life cycle, and participate in decision‑making.
• Analyze sales promotions and discounts during the product life cycle, forecast volumes related to these events, evaluate performance and learnings for future events, and participate in decision‑making.
• Participate in discussions on expanding hardware into additional countries and new sales channels; assist with the implementation of finance responsibilities as needed.
• Lead hardware cost accounting, invoicing, inventory tracking and related reconciliations.
• Address ad‑hoc needs as they arise.
• Continue to streamline processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Assist in department planning, as needed.
• Cross‑train with other team members.

• Business degree, preferably major in accounting.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• CPA preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in business functions, with a minimum of 5 years in accounting/finance functions and a minimum of 3 years in distribution of physical goods (preferably consumer electronics).
• Intermediate skills in Excel and accounting software.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to identify issues, research and elevate when necessary.
• Ability to see the "forest" in addition to the "trees".
• Flexibility, passion and drive to improve processes.
• Curiosity and willingness to take on new tasks/projects.
• Self‑starter; ability to work independently and collaborate with others (focus on team/company success).
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.

$150K - $200K, depending on experience.
