What You’ll Do Financial Reporting & SEC
- Lead execution and coordination of quarterly and annual SEC filings (10‑Q, 10‑K)
- Own drafting and coordination of financial statement disclosures, footnotes, and supporting schedules
- Prepare and coordinate ATM filings, proxy filings, and transaction-related SEC filings (e.g., 8‑Ks)
- Coordinate XBRL review and Workiva filings
- Serve as primary execution lead for external audit and quarterly review processes related to financial reporting
- Prepare and own technical accounting memoranda for complex and non-routine transactions
- Assess accounting implications of significant/complex contracts, transactions, and initiatives
- Partner with Finance leadership on accounting policy interpretations and conclusions
- Own intercompany accounting oversight, including management fee calculations and reconciliations
- Post and review tax provision-related journal entries and impacts; support tax disclosures and audit requests
- Finance execution lead for acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs, and collaborations (scoping/execution, pro forma financials where required, carve-out support, advisor coordination, post-close integration accounting)
- Lead SOX compliance for financial reporting and transactions (404(b))
- Own SOX documentation (narratives, risk control matrices, evidence) to reduce reliance on external consultants
- Coordinate audit testing/remediation; integrate new entities/processes into SOX framework; mentor accounting team
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent required
- 6–8+ years relevant experience (ideally public accounting: Big 4/national firm)
- Strong SEC reporting and US GAAP technical accounting experience
- Strongly preferred: experience supporting acquisitions/divestitures/carve-outs
- Required:
SOX 404 compliance experience - Preferred: biotechnology/life sciences experience;
