Junior Property Compliance Analyst

Overview

Under close supervision, the Junior Property Compliance Analyst will complete a variety of assignments related to tenant file compliance with Section 42, focusing on 24 CFR Part5 income eligibility and other designated assignments. The role follows established procedures to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance while developing proficiency in affordable housing compliance standards.

• Complete pre‑ and post‑occupancy tenant file compliance reviews and reports for assigned clients.
• Identify and raise potential problem areas during engagements.
• Conduct research on federal and state compliance regulations and apply findings under supervision.
• Work within a deadline‑driven environment with significant oversight to meet productivity and accuracy standards.
• Meet or exceed file review productivity benchmarks.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of relevant experience in Section
  42, Section8, or other government housing programs, focusing on 24
  
  CFRPart5 income eligibility; or equivalent education and experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., COS, HCCP) preferred; candidates without certification must be willing to obtain certification within two years.
• Knowledge of tenant file compliance rules, including the Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act (HOTMA).
• Proactive, self‑motivated with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to identify issues, ask thoughtful questions, and seek clarification.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to manage tasks, meet deadlines and maintain accuracy.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
• Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office (Excel) and report writing tools.
• Professional demeanor, adherence to deadlines and administrative requirements.
• Available to work evenings and weekends as needed and travel domestically (25–35%) of time.
