Payroll Specialist

Description

Process and administer weekly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

Maintain and update payroll records, including wages, deductions, bonuses, and benefits

Review and validate timekeeping data and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with managers and HR

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations

Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, taxes, and deductions in a professional and timely manner

Support audits, reporting, and reconciliations related to payroll and general ledger activity

Requirements

2+ years of payroll processing experience in a high-volume or fast-paced environment

Basic knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements

Experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, or similar platforms)

Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Proficiency in Excel and general Microsoft Office tools

Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
