Amazon’s North American Customer Fulfillment (NACF) Finance is looking for a Financial Analyst, supporting operational and functional leaders. The NACF Finance team vision is to provide cost controllership, projects return on investment (ROI), and financial insights for end-to-end defect reduction processes and initiatives across supply chain. Our team supports various North America teams through translating operational KPIs into financial impact to ensure our stakeholders have the most up to date and reliable information to make the best possible decision for Amazon.

The ability to learn and be curious while working through a high degree of complex ambiguity in order to think big while inventing and simplifying for process improvement is mission critical.

Key job responsibilities

Key Business Support:

  • Support NACF planning cycles (OP1, OP2, QxG, 3YF), coordinate input submissions from section owners, maintain planning trackers, and consolidate inputs into planning deliverables with guidance from senior team members
  • Build and maintain planning models and trackers, pull data, cross-check accuracy against source systems, and produce inputs that feed consolidated planning submissions
  • Draft variance narratives and planning cycle inputs under deadline pressure, work product must be accurate, clear, and delivered on time
  • Prepare backup analysis for planning cycle reviews and leadership walkthroughs, ensure data integrity and be ready to walk senior team members through the details
  • Translate planning data into clear, digestible formats, tables, summaries, and short narratives that non-finance partners can understand
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Field Finance, E2E FP&A, Supply Chain, and Accounting, gather inputs, reconcile discrepancies, and confirm planning views tie cleanly across teams
  • Identify data discrepancies and expedite promptly, investigate root cause where feasible, document the gap, and bring it to senior team members with the relevant context
  • Contribute to the team's modernization agenda, participate in automation projects for planning workflows, adopt AI tools into day-to-day work, and create process documentation to support knowledge transfer and scale
A day in the life

The team focuses on finance controllership, cost savings and end-to-end (e2e) defect cost reduction across North America Customer Fulfillment (NACF). The primary time spend is focused on work streams to identify opportunities that lead to cost reduction, process improvement, and financial controllership. The team is also responsible for project financial validations, return-on-investment, and tracking financial impact on budget baselines. The team plays a key role in decision making and developing financial insights as part of monthly and quarterly business reviews, developing and leading cost business reviews, and providing ad-hoc analysis on large or ambiguous deliverables.

Basic Qualifications
  • 2+ years of finance experience
  • 2+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
  • 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science)
  • Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills
