Senior Associate - Investment Banking

Novelty Hill Capital is seeking a Senior Associate to join our investment banking team in Seattle. This individual will be an integral member of our deal teams and will have significant responsibility across the execution of M&A and other strategic advisory transactions. The ideal candidate is technically strong, commercially minded, highly detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple work streams while maintaining a high standard of quality.

The role is well suited for an experienced investment banking professional who is looking for increased responsibility and greater exposure to senior bankers and clients in a lean, entrepreneurial environment.

• Lead and manage key work streams across M&A, capital raising, recapitalization, and other strategic advisory engagements
• Build and review financial models, including operating models, valuation analyses, merger models, and transaction analyses
• Prepare client presentations, confidential information memoranda, management presentations, teasers, buyer materials, and other transaction-related materials
• Conduct company, industry, and market research to support transaction strategy and valuation
• Analyze financial statements, operating metrics, customer and revenue concentration, and other key business drivers
• Develop valuation analyses using precedent transactions, comparable companies, precedent M&A transactions, and discounted cash flow methodologies
• Coordinate and manage diligence processes across clients, buyers, lenders, attorneys, accountants, and other advisors
• Participate in client and buyer meetings and assist with management presentations and negotiations
• Communicate directly with clients and counter parties as appropriate
• Review and provide guidance on work produced by Analysts and Associates
• Support senior bankers in business development, including industry research, company screening, relationship development, and preparation of marketing materials
• Contribute to the continued growth and development of Novelty Hill Capital

• 4–7 years of relevant investment banking experience, with flexibility based on experience and level
• Experience in M&A and/or other transaction-oriented advisory work
• Strong financial modeling and valuation skills
• Excellent understanding of financial statements and corporate finance
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and work streams
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients and senior executives
• High level of intellectual curiosity and commercial judgment
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university

Experience at a middle-market investment bank, private equity firm, Big Four transaction advisory practice, or other relevant transaction-focused environment is preferred.
