Parking Officer (Temporary Full Time – 2 years)
Waverley Council is seeking a customer‑focused and community‑minded Parking Officer to join our Compliance team.
The role is about more than parking enforcement. Through a balanced approach of education, engagement and regulation, you will help residents, ratepayers, businesses and visitors understand and comply with parking requirements while ensuring fair and consistent enforcement.

What you’ll do
- Investigate parking and general complaints
- Conduct proactive and reactive patrols throughout the LGA
- Issue warnings, infringement notices and other enforcement actions where appropriate
- Respond professionally and courteously to customer enquiries and concerns
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required
To be successful in this role, you will have
- Demonstrated experience in a customer‑facing role with sound verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven skills in the use of MS Office, Outlook, Excel, Merit and an understanding of internal online portals
- Proven ability to deal with sensitive issues and resolve them in a professional manner
- Ability to work am/pm shifts and regular weekend and public holiday shifts, on a 7‑day roster
