We are looking for a Probation Program Coordinator to join our team. As a Probation Program Coordinator, you will coordinate and facilitate a variety of programs and services for clients, while also supporting electronic home monitoring (EHM), work crew, and other probation operations.

The City of Bellevue Probation Division provides evidence-based and professional probation services to adult misdemeanor referrals from King County District Court, including compliance monitoring, electronic home detention, work crew, and a wide range of programs and services designed to promote accountability, enhanced community safety, positive change, and successful outcomes. Successful candidates will have experience prioritizing equity and inclusion in all aspects of their work.

In the City of Bellevue, the Probation Division is a part of the Parks & Community Services Department.

The City of Bellevue is currently accepting applications for a regular 1.0 FTE Program Coordinator. This full-time position is responsible for coordinating and facilitating a variety of probation programs and services, as well as supporting electronic home monitoring (EHM) and Bellevue Work Crew operations. Duties include, but are not limited to, coordinating and monitoring EHM and work crew assignments; facilitating evidence-based programs and services for probation clients;

maintaining accurate records and documentation; providing client referrals and support to community resources; working with Court, Prosecutor, and community partners; and assisting with the development and implementation of programs and services to meet the needs of clients, the community, and the division. The position will also assist with other division administrative and operational duties as deemed appropriate or necessary.

Standard work hours shall be 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinates and supervises a caseload of clients participating in electronic home monitoring and Bellevue Work Crew programs.
  • Facilitates court-imposed cognitive behavioral and other evidence-based programs and services for probation clients, including obtaining and maintaining required certifications to facilitate programs offered by the Probation Division.
  • Facilitates and participates in Bellevue Work Crew activities, including coordinating work assignments, providing direction and instruction to participants, monitoring attendance and compliance, and working with community partners and work sites.
  • Installs, monitors, and troubleshoots electronic monitoring equipment as ordered by the Court and responds to participant and equipment-related concerns.
  • Supports the Probation Division's License Support Program by assisting clients with identifying and addressing barriers to obtaining or reinstating a valid driver's license and connecting clients with appropriate resources and services.
  • Assesses eligibility of individuals to participate in programs and services by conducting criminal background inquiries and intake interviews; explains program requirements, rules, and regulations; and monitors participant compliance.
  • Gathers, maintains, and compiles data from a variety of sources, including the Court's case management system, and completes required program and case documentation.
  • Monitors compliance with court-ordered obligations by reviewing reports and other information, communicating expectations, and providing oral and written warnings or other appropriate interventions.
  • Participates in court proceedings and other meetings as a program representative and provides testimony or information regarding program participation, compliance, reports, and related documentation as needed.
