Hospice Volunteer: Companionship & Visits

Overview

Continuum Care Hospice is seeking compassionate volunteers to join our team. We have opportunities for companionship, respite care, pet therapy, hairdressers, and more in the Bellevue/Kirkland area.

If you enjoy spending time with others, we would love to match you with a patient who could benefit from your presence. Volunteers often chat and reminisce with patients, offer a comforting hand to hold, or simply listen as someone shares their story. You can also play games, read together, create art, or enjoy other meaningful activities.

• Provide companionship and social interaction with patients.
• Offer a comforting presence: hold a hand, listen, and engage in conversation.
• Participate in activities such as games, reading, art, or other meaningful engagements.
• Support patients with flexible visit frequencies (e.g., once a week or every other week) based on patient needs and volunteer availability.

Opportunities are available in the Bellevue and Kirkland area. Volunteers typically visit patients once a week or every other week, depending on the patient’s needs and the volunteer’s schedule.
