Ayan Maternity Health Care Support is searching for a Doula Project Coordinator for the Birth & Postpartum Doula Services Programs. The ideal candidate is exceptionally organized, capable of managing connections with Doula and clients, and maintains a high level of attention to detail. We work as a true partner with the communities we serve, and we provide culturally relevant resources to Refugee, New Immigrant, low-income families, and pregnant people to help them establish a strong and healthy foundation in this transformational time.

Responsible:

• Manage the referral, matching process for the Birth Doula Services Program
• Outreach Doula program primarily through phone and clinical Referral System.
• Maintain organized and complete client files.
• Research and provide community resources and referrals for Birth & Postpartum Doula Services clients.
• Manage referral assistance for clients needing other services not provided by Ayan Maternity Health Care Support.
• Create and/or edit flyers according to established events and as directed.
• Post on Organization's social media and share via email about the programs and our events.

Program Support:

• Work in partnership with the Program Supervisor in overseeing aspects of the BDS &PPS project.
• Develop and maintain community relationships with referring providers to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Data entry of services, analyze data for continuous quality improvement.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Support development and implementation of new programs

Doula Orientation and Support:

• Support the coordination of and facilitate Doula Orientations
• Manage relationships with and provide coaching to contract doulas to ensure compliance with program practices, values, and standards primarily over the phone.
• Maintain timely communications with contract doulas through email, social media, phone contacts.
• Maintain complete and organized doula files.
• Maintain electronic records for all services provided.
• Monitor doula services to ensure compliance with program standards and policies.
• Conduct reflective practice opportunities for contract doulas.

Qualifications:

• 1 to 2 years management experience or relevant education experience
• Ability to plan, coordinate, and organize work projects.
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills
• Strong communication and writing skills.
• Experience collaborating with a variety of staff members.
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience in working with communities of Black and strong racial, disability, and economic justice framework.
• Passion for and commitment to the mission of Ayan Maternity Health Care Support
• Aptitude for solving problems with creativity and resourcefulness.
• Ability to develop positive relationships with clients, doulas, providers, staff members.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications, especially Excel and Word, Google Apps for Work, social media platforms
• Demonstrated experience (via paid work, volunteer, or life experience) in birth work, parenting and early learning and development is highly desirable.
• A degree in Social Worker, or any related position is highly desirable.
• Fluency in Somali (written and spoken) is highly desirable.
